wait..this is too much.
sensational in the photography world. now Nikon
has launched its new breed , a new improved version of D300.
verdict
if you already have D300 : dont bother about this new one. the functions are almost similar.
if you already have a D3: well, if you're not used to using the battery pack , and looking for something lighter for daily use, this might be a good pick. it's not far better than d300, but still, it's the latest and Nikon shouldve somehow improvised it.
I am mainly using D300 for my daily photography, and i have yet nothing to complain about .
it's good :)

spain's lucky number 8
Samuel Sanchez of Spain won the road event in Beijing Olympic.
I was supporting them Spaniards because, they're simply the best.
I knew Paolo Bettini was not in his best condition , not as good as the previous Olympic in Athens, so i knew the gold has got to go to someone younger and stronger :P Although Alejandro Valverde and Cadel Evans were my favourites for yesterday's events, I am still happy that Sanchez took the lead.
The leading breakaway team consisted of Andy Schleck, Samuel Sanchez,Fabian Cancellara, Davide Rebellin, and Aussie's Michael Rogers. I realized that Michael Rogers played a dirty game yesterday when he tried to keep himself at the back of the breakaway riders, avoiding himself from doing all the hard work.
In the end, he was the last in the leader's team to reach the finishing line, behind Andy Schleck, which was quite a dissapointment to Luxemborg as well. But he did a good job of breaking the peloton and being a leader of the race for few minutes. Overall it was an awesome race, and i enjoyed the live coverage and of course, the fact that i got to watch it at home with the Malaysian's best cycling team, LE TUA , made it more fun!

GO SPANIARDS!
(BEIJING, July 28) -- Carlos Sastre, the 33-year-old Spanish rider who has just claimed the crown of Tour de France on Sunday, July 27, will take the place of his compatriot Oscar Pereiro to compete in the road race in Beijing, according to the Spanish Cycling Federation.
Pereiro, winner of 2006 Tour de France, had to quit the Beijing Olympics, as well as the Tour, after a crash in the 15th stage that resulted in a broken arm.
Sastre will join a strong team, which includes Alberto Contador (winner of 2007 Tour de France and 2008 Giro d'Italia), Oscar Freire (winner of 1999, 2001 and 2004 World Cycling Championship), Alejandro Valverde (2006 UCI ProTour winner), and Samuel Sanchez (winner of 5 stages of Vuelta a EspaƱa).

Beijing Olympic National Stadium
The exterior view of Birds Nest Stadium
Interior View of the stadium.notice the waterproof membrane acting as the roof of this stadium.
Ever since i first laid my eyes on the 3d renderings of this stadium, i knew that the real stadium was going to be built exactly as beautiful as the renderings were shown.
Why not? China has commisioned great teams of engineers, headed by ARUP and their own chinese engineers. And the architect, China had definitely chosen the right architects for their main stadium, Herzog & de Meuron. They're my favourite team of architects when it comes to big scale projects. They've worked wonders for the Germany Allianz Football Stadium, and now the Birds Nest Stadium , and the Ice Cube for the Aquatic centre in China.
I was watching the documentary showing the construction of this stadium. Man was i amazed. The whole process of detailing the materials, the timing of the construction, the working labours, the technical specialties, the numbers and meticulous calculations by the engineers, and just about everything else. They're all IMPRESSIVE.I guess the most interesting part of the construction was when the outer structure was already installed, and the inner supporting columns had to be removed.
well, presumably that was the most nerve-wrecking moment ever for the construction team. Imagine if the whole thing collapses, just because of a mistake of calculation by the engineers.scary.
i couldnt find the documentary i watched yesterday in youtube. this is the best that i could find, try watching it. you'll be impressed :)

thoughts.
i think i really miss architecture.
things are holding me back from doing what i love,
but hopefully everything will be back to normal as soon as possible.
world, wait for me.
I MISS AUTOCADDING
I MISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS LATE NIGHT STAY UPS IN THE LAB
I MISS OUR 3AM SUPPER
I MISS PRESENTING
I MISS MY CLASSMATES
I MISS MY ARCHI FRIENDS
I MISS A1 PLOTTED PAPER
I MISS THE BIG BLANK WHITE PAPER TO SKETCH MY IDEAS,
I MISS THE COLOURFUL RENDERINGS,
I MISS THE TOUCH OF CREATIVITY OF EVERYONE
I MISS RMIT
I dont quite miss TECH. hehe.
most of all,
i miss designing.
architecture is a dreadful and challenging course,
it sucks your energy out and puts you through sleepless nights and under tremendous stress,
but it gives me the most wonderful feeling when my design comes up alive and working
you only need one thing to survive architecture.
Passion.

i know ive been bloggin a lot about cycling lately,
its currently my biggest passion.
dont worry, ill upload my photography works or any other artsy fartsy works soon enough.

Giro D' Italia - Stage 12
it's a flat stage after yesterday's mountainous route,
i'm hoping PVC Serramenti will lead the peloton and bring forward Hondo
to the finishing line. pleasssssseeee.
i've lost my enthusiasm already after my favourite Fillipo Savinni ended up in the concrete pitch and broken his shin bone, and Alberto Loddo has been eliminated :(
CSF Navigare has been not so lucky in these recent days,
Fortunato Baliani of Navigare crashed when he was only 1km away from the finishing line.
He was already leading the breakaway, but in the end he reached third.
Baliani couldve easily won first since he's such a great climber!!
it's okay, 9 more stages to go!

Giro D' Italia - Stage 6
the team i was supporting yesterday, WON!
CSF NAVIGARE did it again!
Matteo Priamo (67) did an excellent job maintaining
his speed throughout the race. He escaped from the breakaway
group of 11, with Perez (78) of team Euskaltel, leading by 12 seconds.
yesterday's stage was the longest one in Giro, at 231 km in length,
and it was supposed to be 265 km, but the management cut it down by
34 km to allow the cyclists have more time to rest for the next stage.
but i gotta say the race was a 'dull' one yesterday since there was
not much action (sprinting/crashing) happened yesterday.
even Perez didnt open out any sprint to catch up
with Priamo, leaving him to finish only 6 seconds after Priamo.
my favourite 66,162 and 214 were nowhere to be found :(
gee, i feel like my blog is turning into a cycling blog already.

ive been spending lots of time playing games at home, and i'm getting bored of guitar hero,
since i can't unlock 2 songs, i'm hiring someone to do that for me :P. aaput, cepat balik. i need more songs man. now ada four je, gila loser kan. hehe
so, yesterday i was reading this cycling mag,
and saw this review on Pro Cycling Manager.
it's a simulation game that allows u to form your own team of cyclists,
and from what i saw in youtube,
it looks good!uberrrr good!i enjoyed the crash part.
definitely slotting it in my wishlist!
the only down part is , its not compatible with PS3.
so, the only way i can play this is with a PC since i dont have a PSP.
random question:
fifa or winning eleven lagi best?

GIRO D' ITALIA.- stage 3
DANILO HONDO, won third yesterday.
he became my instant favourite when i watched him sprint in this year's Le Tour De Langkawi.
i swear he has this 'aura' that makes you like him.
i don't know why,
but i'm supporting Alberto Loddo as well.
despite all the first hand rumours that i heard about him,
i still think he's a great cyclist.
well, he sure gave some 'flavour' in LTDL this year.
baru ada substance sikit!
another favourite of mine,
Mauro Abel Richeze, is not participating in Giro D'Italia.
heard from zainul that he's in the national team right now.
so, i guess i wont be seeing him next year representing CSF Navigare in LTDL 09.
damn sad.
anyho,
heres the results.
GIRO D'ITALIA STAGE 3i wasnt really focusing on daniele bennati because my eyes
1 Daniele Bennati (Ita) Liquigas
2 Erik Zabel (Ger) Team Milram
3 Danilo Hondo (Ger) Serramenti PVC Diquigiovanni-Androni Giocattoli
5 Alberto Loddo (Ita) Tinkoff Credit System
were stuck to hondo in his blue jersey . i wanted him to win first,
but third is good enough to start :P there are 19 stages more to go, i'm sure he'll kick
ass in few of these coming ones.
no entry is complete without a picture ;)
thats me with Danilo Hondo!
btw,
i noticed that my favourites were all involved in the crash in Stage 7,
Mauro Abel leaned towards Loddo ,causing him to crash few seconds
before the finishing line,
and because of the 'domino effect', Hondo, who was sprinting his ass off,
crashed before reaching.

SEXY.
Is it just me, or anyone finds this Trek Madone 6.9 very SEXY?
Rizal said this costs approx. at least RM 22k in Malaysia.
*gulps*
this road bike is way too advanced for me. obviously.
the last time i rode a bicycle was wayyyy back in 2000?!
and this, Trek 2200 WSD only costs less than 10k.
not too bad for a cute pink frame :P
and suits a beginner like me!
plus Lance Armstrong uses Trek too.hih.
it's officially in my wishlist. :)
i've learnt the anatomy of a road bike too! :D

Sara Ramirez
I didn't know that Sara Ramirez, who plays Dr Callie Torres in Grey's Anatomy,
was the girl who charmed the audience with her powerful voice in Monthy Phyton's Spamalot.
no wonder she looked so familiar when i saw her on the stage.
how could i not notice who she was!
i really adore her voice.
now that's what we call, a true talent.
video of her singing in Spamalot theatre

hold on a sec. (yah, sure)
not that this picture relates to the post down here...
but.
one of the thing that annoys me the most is probably ..
waiting.
i really hate the services here in australia.
even when it involves someone's life.
u have to make an appointment to see a doctor here.
unlike malaysia, we can just walk in and drop in our name at the counter,
and they'll just call us in. well, within 24 hours at least you can have yourself treated.
here, if sakit like demam or migrain or anything, jangan harap u nak pegi doctor.
by the time you get to see them, you'll be already healthy, or dead.
coz it's damn hard to make an appointment on the day itself, and geez,
the doctor won't bother staying in the clinic after 5, before 5 dah siap pack barang bla.
in my case.
i went to the doctor at 12.40, my appointment was at 12.45.
then i saw the doctor walking behind me, and he somehow eloped somewhere from the back there.
i had to wait for him for almost an hour, bloody one hour , and i saw him walking inside the clinic merrily with his lunch.
uggggggggggh bengangnya. he couldve told me earlier kan that i should come an hour later.
ni tak, he made me wait.
and it has always been like that.
ive waited for him for 2 hours the last time i saw him .
its getting on my nerve la.
and i really can't tolerate laziness.
yeah i admit i get lazy at times,
but kalau lazy sampai menyusahkan orang tu memang melampau la kan.
sorry my mood has been really , cranky today.
so stressed up with everything.
no im not complaining.
